David Remus Tribugenia

Full Stack Engineer. React, Node and PostgreSQL systems for The Palace Manila, Revive Pharmacy, Volatility and more, from Negros Occidental, Philippines.

One request, end to end

  1. Interface layer: What the person touches.

Typed components, real loading states, and pages that stay fast on the connection people really have.

    React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Vite

  2. API layer: The contract in the middle.

Predictable shapes, honest status codes, and errors a client can actually act on.

    Node.js, Express, REST, GraphQL

  3. Service layer: Where the work happens.

Services that deploy and fail independently, with rate limiting in front so one caller cannot take the rest down.

    Next.js, FastAPI, Queues, Rate limiting

  4. Data layer: The part you cannot redo.

Schemas designed before the first insert, indexes that match the reads, and a cache that knows when to let go.

    PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, Prisma

  5. Infrastructure layer: The floor it stands on.

Containers, a reverse proxy that terminates TLS, and a pipeline that ships on green and nothing else.

    Docker, Nginx, Linux, GitHub Actions

About

Full-stack engineer in the Philippines. Five years keeping systems online, three shipping React and Node product.

David Remus Tribugenia

David Remus Tribugenia

Full Stack Engineer

Negros Occidental, Philippines

I build and run web systems end to end. I started in 2021 keeping the voter registration system online for the Commission on Elections, managing MySQL records under data privacy law and leading the people who ran it. That work taught me to assume production breaks at the worst possible time, and to build so it doesn't.

Since then I've shipped for founders and directors who needed one person to own a system. Node and Postgres services behind a rate-limited Nginx layer at Revive Pharmacy. LLM features and AWS production at Agentsly. Next.js rendering and Core Web Vitals at Codebility, where I also mentored juniors and ran code review. Right now I'm on contract with The Palace Manila.

What I care about is the unglamorous part. Clear boundaries between services, interfaces that don't surprise the next developer, and pages that stay fast when the traffic actually shows up. I'd rather delete code than add a layer.

    Commission on Elections

    System Administrator · Sep 2021 - Jul 2023

Kept the voter registration system online through updates, backups, and live incident response, and led the team running it. MySQL records for large volumes of personnel data, under data privacy law, with strict access control and backup routines.

David has done an outstanding job for us. We worked together over a long stretch, and in that time he became the person I could hand a problem to and then stop thinking about it. I’m genuinely glad we crossed paths.

Fady IliasDirector & FounderWeb Divine

The proof came from a client who tracked down my personal number just to thank us for finding her the right plan. That only happens when the product genuinely works. David built the parts that made it work.

Shawn MilnerFounderAgentsly

David left the Codebility platform measurably better than he found it. Core Web Vitals improved, the data layer finally got a proper cleanup, and he shipped tests the rest of the team actually trusted. He is the kind of engineer you want on a product early.

Jzeff SomeraCEOCodebility

As our Systems Engineer, David secured our APIs, sped up the database layer, and built the Docker CI/CD pipeline that cut our deploy time by roughly 75%. He owned all of it end to end, and I never once had to chase him for a status update.

The Palace Manila

Full Stack Engineer (Contract) · Aug 2026 - Present

Project intro

The Palace Manila needed a site that sells the venue: rooms, event types, booking enquiries, and a way to capture leads that doesn't end in an inbox nobody reads. I built it as a prototype the marketing team can keep running without me.

Technologies used

Webflow CMS holds the content model, so venues and events are entries rather than hand-built pages. On-page SEO covers metadata, heading structure, and how the content is organised. Python scripts pull competitor and locator data straight into the CMS instead of someone typing it in.

  • SEO
  • Python
  • Content modelling

Design & implementation

I rebuilt the booking, inquiry, and newsletter paths so each one is a short route to a single form, and moved customer reviews onto the pages where people actually decide. Lead volume rose about 80%.

Revive Pharmacy

Lead Engineer (Full Stack) · Mar 2025 - Aug 2026

Project intro

Revive Pharmacy ran as one system where a single failure took everything with it. My job was to split it up, lock it down, and make deploying something we could do in the middle of the day.

Technologies used

Node.js microservices on PostgreSQL and Redis, each able to deploy and fail on its own. Nginx sits in front on a Linux VPS with rate limiting and DDoS controls. Docker and Git run CI/CD directly on the VPS.

  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Nginx
  • Docker
  • Linux

Design & implementation

I profiled the queries on the paths customers actually hit and added the indexes they were missing, cutting API response times about 40%. Automating the Docker pipeline cut deploy time about 75%.

Volatility

Full Stack Engineer · Oct 2024 - Mar 2025

Project intro

Volatility sells trading education, and the whole funnel ran through a landing page and a webinar. Both had to convert, and the marketing team needed to change them without waiting on a pull request.

Technologies used

React on the front end, built in Agile sprints against the marketing calendar. Strapi CMS wired into the frontend to power the blog with ongoing editorial updates. A video platform built to host recurring live events.

  • React
  • Strapi
  • Video
  • SEO

Design & implementation

I rebuilt the landing page around one call to action and shortened the path to signup, raising engagement and conversions about 22%. The video platform hosted the recurring live webinars the sales team ran.

Agentsly

Lead Engineer (Full Stack) · May 2024 - Oct 2024

Project intro

Agentsly puts an LLM in front of real customers, which makes the plumbing around the model matter as much as the prompt. I built the full-stack features and kept production up while people were using it.

Technologies used

React and Node with Express REST APIs and GraphQL over PostgreSQL. The LLM work runs on the Vercel AI SDK and the OpenAI API. GoHighLevel is integrated so the team can track a lead from capture through follow-up.

  • React
  • Node.js
  • GraphQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • Vercel AI SDK
  • AWS

Design & implementation

Rolling ShadCN UI patterns across the app cut frontend delivery time about 30%, because new screens stopped being built from scratch. Production ran on AWS and held 99.9% uptime across live user traffic.

05

Codebility

Full Stack Engineer / Mentor · Nov 2023 - Present

Project intro

Codebility runs digital delivery teams, and the platform behind it manages both employees and clients. I worked on the platform and on the juniors building it.

Technologies used

Next.js and TypeScript on the product, Jest for the tests, and code review on every pull request with the test scripts run before each merge.

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Jest
  • Tailwind

Design & implementation

I improved Next.js rendering on the production pages and Core Web Vitals rose about 35%. Unit tests on the critical flows cut manual regression work about 50%.
